She who has the last laugh....

I am going to sound very biter in this post, but guess what...I can if I want to. LOL This year my dear and devoted husbandsc-section causing GeekFest was held May 25-28th in Dallas. Last year it was April 29-May 1st. Yes both times I have encouraged him to go and have fun at his GeekFest.

Last year, my indiana academic diploma winner packed his cell phone in his suitcase and his 38 week pg wife could not get a hold of him that the dr wanted to induce her on Saturday. (Can you say LESS THAN BRILLANT DEAR?) So I ended up having to wait until Tuesday which resulted in our dear daughter turning breech again. I had a version (Think evil torture) and then a c-section. I DID say to my husband, while he was sitting next to me very pale and looking like he was going to vomit then pass out... "See what YOUR get together did to me. *I* could have had this baby Saturday and instead I am having a c-section. Thanks for packing your phone IN your luggage." All my OB could say was, "Man, I would hate to be you right now". LOL Yes I was sort of joking, but there was a part of me that was not. I was not thrilled with the entire process. I did not have much choice on the c-section either. My blood pressure was way up (198/127) and I was 5cm dilated.

This year I encouraged him to go even though he would get home 1 day before our daughters first birthday party. He went and played paint ball and had fun with the guys. You know...fun that included sleeping THRU the night (not something that I have done since before I conceived Hannah) eating with adults and not having to run a child to the bathroom during your meal, doing WHATEVER you wanted and not having to worry about if your kids would want to do it. You know THOSE types of things. So, he gets home Sunday and says, I think I got into poison ivy. He had this little blisters all over his chest, arms, belly and hips. He was itching like mad. I, the support wife that I am, told him to get his ass on the lawn mower we were having a party tomorrow and the grass needed mowed. I showed him MUCH MORE SYMPATHY than he gave me when I had my c-section. (Yes Darren, I DID SHOW YOU MORE SYMPATHY! :))

He doses up on benadryl, zyrtec, and whatever else he could to help with the itching. He has been miserable these past few days. Yesterday he was nauseated at work and just had to leave work. (rolls eyes...there is NO WAY most men could be mothers) He goes to the Dr and the Dr tells him that he got into chiggers. His nausea is his bodies response to the many bites he got while playing paintball at GeekFest. :) So while he is suffering, *I* get the last laugh. As evil as it sounds....What comes around....does go around dear husband.
