Rock....meet Hard Place....

I was trying to pack to be out of the house by 9am and after my shower I fell asleep on Gabe bed. So Darren began thinking...Hey it is 9am and I have not heard my wife moving around upstairs. He comes looking for me and finds me on the bed sleeping. He is Purplexed to say the least. SO he asks for advice from our Caris so Barry.... I found this IM after I got up....
cariesobarry: how are the kids??
Zocor5th: pretty good
cariesobarry: no more puking?? awesome
Zocor5th: i have a problem.....michelle wanted to leave by 9....i went to find her and she is asleep on gabes bed....should i wake her up or let her sleep?
cariesobarry: wow that is a problem
cariesobarry: you should probably go wake her gently
Zocor5th: k....wish me luck
cariesobarry: %%-
cariesobarry: if she looks pissed.. DUCK

He did wake me, however he was no within arm or legs reach. LOL He had also called my mom to ask for advice. LOL

Delayed Trip...

Tuesday evening Hannah came down with the stomach flu. She was done puking by Wednesday Night but was still weak on Thursday. We took her and Fayeth to the peds and OF COURSE Fayeth has another ear infection. So Thursday afternoon we made a last minute mad dash to Walmart to pick up a few things. We get out of the car and Gabe says, "Mommy my tummy hurts". I told him he would be ok and that this was going to be a quick trip. I then informed him, "Child DO NOT PUKE ON THE STROLLER!!! If you feel the ned to throw up puke on the floor in walmart. NOT MY STROLLER!!!" (Come on we are leaving at 3am. I do not have time to wash the stroller and have it dry. LOL Well, he looks at me and says, "Mommy my tummy really hurts...I think I am going to * INSERT PUKE SOUND * Yep. He puked all over the walmart parking lot. So I take fayeth out of the stroller tell him to get into the stroller and tell him not to touch anything that we needed to get these last few items. So I enter Walmart. Grab what I need in less than 5 minutes. Fayeth is doing this cough cough thing and I was thinking...Shit, she is going to start to.

Off to check out we go. it is taking FOREVER in the check out. This 90 year old OLD BITTY came up to me and said, "Are you in line to check out?" I informed her that I was. She says, "Well can't you move up closer to the person infront of you?" I tell her, "No, my son just vomited and I do not want him to give it to anyone else if he has the tummy flu." Now I am standing with Fayeth on my hip facing out and she steps right up next to fayeth and starts bitching at me and Fayeth let it rip. Covered the woman from chest to knees in my breast milk and particles of bread. The lady informs me that I am paying for her dry cleaning and I inform her that contrary to what she believes I AM NOT paying for her dry cleaning. Stay out of my person space and this would not have happened.

I load all 4 kids into the car in World record speed and give the 3 older ones a plastic bag with specific directions to puke IN the bag NOT ON the car seats. Because come hell or high water we are leaving for FL at 3am Friday. Gabe pukes before we ever leave the parking lot. 3 miles down the road Hannah says, "Mommy fayeth is puking!" I pull the car over and prop her up more in her carseat. Fayeth had already christened Hannah's car seat so I knew that I was washing 2 of the 4 car seats. LB looks at me and grabs her plastic bag while saying, "Mommy, it is my turn now!!" * insert puking child sound * Of course she also misses her bag so I knew I was washing 3 out of 4 car seats.

By now I am laughing because there is nothing else that you can do. On this less than 30 minute car ride home Gabe also puked on his carseat and LB and Hannah had diarrhea in their car seat. I got the kids home and stripped and made them stand in the bathroom while I unload and hose down the carseats and throw the carseats into the washer. Clothes went into the wash tub to soak and by then my tummy was not feeling well.

Of course mommy got sick at 9pm and had a rough night getting up with kids and herself. LOl Daddy slept in the living room. Trying to escape the nasty bug that we had up stairs...

Now WE are healthy and Daddy is on the couch with Diarrhea nad tummy pain....

We are planning on leaving at 3am Saturday morning....

The agony of Rejection

Reposted from June 17, 2005...

Dear sweet G knows at the ripe old age of 3 the agony of being rejected ;). Since my cousin's wedding in October where LB and G were the Flower Girl/Ring Bear they have been obsessed with getting married. Finally after many discussions that they cannot marry each other because they are brother and sister G decided that he was indeed in love with another. This of course caused LB great distress, but she finally came around to realize that she also was in love with another person also. LB informs everyone that she will marry Prince Charming. G on the other hand has his real life Cinderella. A lovely young lady named K.

I am not sure how all of this came down, but while I was in the hospital with F, G said that he was going to marry K, or maybe he even asked, but Miss K told him no. Today in the big black truck, G and LB were in their booster seats in the far back discussing that LB was going to marry Prince Charming and G was going to marry K. (Or maybe I should say that LB was stating that this was going to happen, end of discussion ;)) However I hear G say, "But she told me no. You heard her. She told me no." LB stated, very matter of factly, "Oh but ask her again. She WILL say yes." G just shook his head and in a way only someone with a penis can do it, Sighed heavily and stated, "She told me no." To which I started laughing hysterically and broke up their conversation.

Getting Settled....

Well were do I even start... It has been a while since I updated. I guess I will start at, we are moved into our new house. We closed on our old house last Friday. We were to keep possession for 7 days after closing. We gave them possession at closing. We are pretty much unpacked. I still have to unpack my office and I need to organize dressers and closets again. Get the winter clothes out and move the spring summer stuff in. I need to paint the kids bedrooms and their playroom. I already tore the border down in their bathroom and rebordered. The first owners of this house were border happy (we are the 3rd owners). They bordered the top and the bottom of the walls. Even disconnected the toilet to wall paper behind there. Now the kids bathroom is very ducky. :) I still have to embroider the ducks on their towels. I MIGHT do that tonight.

I love my new house. I wonder around it and think, "oh my god!!! what did I do to deserve to live here?!" The space is so nice. The kids having a playroom is so nice. They have their space for their toys. If is very nice. :)

Hannah is having surgery May 16th for tubes. Fayeth sees the ENT on April 20th. She has another ear infection which is well over 10 since November. (The ped and I stopped counting at 10) IF the ped says she needs tubes I will make sure that it is done on the same day. No need to torture myself 2 days with children who are NPO after midnight. Which should be a joy since Fayeth does not sleep thru the night and wants to nurse numerous times at night.

Gabe now has glasses. He looks so darned handsome in them. And SO grown up. He saw the Neurosurgeon the 6th and we decided to change his meds from Diamox to topamax to see if that will help with the headache symptoms. which it has to some extent. he rarely wakes up with a headache but will develop one in the evening. He loves to wear his glasses., he takes his medication well. He is really just a good little man.

Went state bowling the weekend of the 7-9th. I bowled well, but no one else on my team did. but that is okay. There will be no money for us this year. We bowled with a team that is just way out of our league. We bowl with a handicap, they do not. They did not have a handicap at all. Which basically means 190+ average. Makes my measly 146 average look like nothing. However, we bowled with an Indiana Legend. See here. Now I have to say when she told me that she bowled back to back 300's and had an 866 for series I nearly peed my pants. *I* would need 2 nights (6 games) of bowling to come near her 866. Could you imagine....32 strikes, 1 open frame then 3 more strikes to finish out the night. My highest game is only 214. If I bowled anywhere near a 230+ I would be freaking out. If I bowled a 300 I would not be able to bowl for the rest of the night. My heart would stop. My highest series scratch is 548. Well, back to my whole reason for this entry was that once we realized that we were going to be spanked by them each game we sort of got out of our groove. We are in the same division as this team, but they would most likely only win scratch events and we would NEVER win a scratch event against bowlers like this. The girl I link about, bowls 6 nights a week and coaches YABA on saturdays. I will say that she threw a beautiful ball. Her first game was a 250+. Spare in the first frame. Strikes frame 2-9, in the 10th she had a spare and a strike. Everyone on their team bowled 200+. They as a team did not bowl their average for series.

Must go do some laundry...I will update more on my boring life later
