Getting Settled....

Well were do I even start... It has been a while since I updated. I guess I will start at, we are moved into our new house. We closed on our old house last Friday. We were to keep possession for 7 days after closing. We gave them possession at closing. We are pretty much unpacked. I still have to unpack my office and I need to organize dressers and closets again. Get the winter clothes out and move the spring summer stuff in. I need to paint the kids bedrooms and their playroom. I already tore the border down in their bathroom and rebordered. The first owners of this house were border happy (we are the 3rd owners). They bordered the top and the bottom of the walls. Even disconnected the toilet to wall paper behind there. Now the kids bathroom is very ducky. :) I still have to embroider the ducks on their towels. I MIGHT do that tonight.

I love my new house. I wonder around it and think, "oh my god!!! what did I do to deserve to live here?!" The space is so nice. The kids having a playroom is so nice. They have their space for their toys. If is very nice. :)

Hannah is having surgery May 16th for tubes. Fayeth sees the ENT on April 20th. She has another ear infection which is well over 10 since November. (The ped and I stopped counting at 10) IF the ped says she needs tubes I will make sure that it is done on the same day. No need to torture myself 2 days with children who are NPO after midnight. Which should be a joy since Fayeth does not sleep thru the night and wants to nurse numerous times at night.

Gabe now has glasses. He looks so darned handsome in them. And SO grown up. He saw the Neurosurgeon the 6th and we decided to change his meds from Diamox to topamax to see if that will help with the headache symptoms. which it has to some extent. he rarely wakes up with a headache but will develop one in the evening. He loves to wear his glasses., he takes his medication well. He is really just a good little man.

Went state bowling the weekend of the 7-9th. I bowled well, but no one else on my team did. but that is okay. There will be no money for us this year. We bowled with a team that is just way out of our league. We bowl with a handicap, they do not. They did not have a handicap at all. Which basically means 190+ average. Makes my measly 146 average look like nothing. However, we bowled with an Indiana Legend. See here. Now I have to say when she told me that she bowled back to back 300's and had an 866 for series I nearly peed my pants. *I* would need 2 nights (6 games) of bowling to come near her 866. Could you imagine....32 strikes, 1 open frame then 3 more strikes to finish out the night. My highest game is only 214. If I bowled anywhere near a 230+ I would be freaking out. If I bowled a 300 I would not be able to bowl for the rest of the night. My heart would stop. My highest series scratch is 548. Well, back to my whole reason for this entry was that once we realized that we were going to be spanked by them each game we sort of got out of our groove. We are in the same division as this team, but they would most likely only win scratch events and we would NEVER win a scratch event against bowlers like this. The girl I link about, bowls 6 nights a week and coaches YABA on saturdays. I will say that she threw a beautiful ball. Her first game was a 250+. Spare in the first frame. Strikes frame 2-9, in the 10th she had a spare and a strike. Everyone on their team bowled 200+. They as a team did not bowl their average for series.

Must go do some laundry...I will update more on my boring life later

Tubes....I feel for you. Both kids got them and Caroline needs another set (one dislodged, one clogged).
Caroline had just quit nursing at that point, so we didn't have to worry about the NPO problem with nursing. It was actually a God send because I was really stressing about her wanting to nurse in the middle of the night and not being able to. She quit the week before surgery with no warning.
Good Luck Fayeth and Hannah. It's harder for Mama than for baby. And Gabe looks incredibly handsome in his new specs.

Congrats on the new house! There's nothing quite like looking around you as you're standing amid all those boxes and packaging and realizing that it's actually yours. I certainly hope you're as happy there as you deserve to be!
