An update of the last few weeks...

Lets see...Things have been busy....

The end of July I took Rick (my step dad) to Pickerin gton, OH to visit family while I was visiting my friends in Columbus. His sister (a realtor) asked his opinion on a house there and the next thing I know he is trying to bribe me into moving to Pickerington. He is a wise man. My mom will not leave the grandkids. So he tries to con me into moving there so she will. Not gonna happen buddy! My next move (if it is going to be out of state) will be to the great state of FL. :) He was looking at the house as an investment. He could have probably gotten it for 350K and when it was finished it would have assessed at over 1million. Sorry Amy P. I know you and Jen are close...I just cant leave my sister.

Han nah's party was great! Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes!

We went to North Carolina August 9-15th. We took a new route and to tell you the truth I think it is a little faster. We took I-65 to I70. Then at Dayton we took 35 all he way to 64 in virigina. Then we took 77 all the way in. Let me just say....WV has the most beautiful capital building. Plus WV avd VA are so beautiful to drive thru. It was a nice trip. We did not see M iss Da sy. However we did some things around the house and yard for my aunt. Pau la wrks too many hours and is never home. So we did some cleaning in the house, cleaned gutters, trimmed the shrubs and raked some leaves. When she was home we gave one of her employees 2 chairs out of her living room and we rearranged her living room. We also cleaned out the shed and organized it so she knows where things are. We pitched a ton of old clothes. My gramma and grampa had a lot of stuff. We went to our family reunion. It was great to see my cousin's Dan and Lu kie, and the entire Concord NC crew.

The kids started Soccer. They missed the first practice. However at their first practice I nearly peed my pants. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. They did really well and LB made a goal. Yesterday they had their first game. OMG!!!! It was a hoot. Let me start off by saying that they only play 3 kids at a time, however they have 2 fields for each team. So technically 6 kids from each team are playing, just on opposite fields. They do not keep score at all until tourney time. That does not start until ages 11. So no matter how long you play or how old you are, they never keep score. Which I think is a good thing. It is about having fun and learning the game. Also all kids play. And there is 8-5 minute "quarters". I will say though that d arren and I were keeping mental score and on the twins field the orange team scored somewhere along 11 goals and we scored 2. LB and Ga be scored those 2 goals though so that is why I know. The orange team has been together since last Fall with only a few new players. The Green Team (our team) is a brand new team and NO ONE has played soccer before. But they did awesome. LB and Gab e are really go getters. They are right there in the action. LB had one moment where she was doing pirouettes on the soccer field. And when she came off the field I told her, "LB, when you are ON the soccer field you play soccer, when you are in the dance studio you dance. Any other time...you can do whatever." LOL They had so much fun. Gabe got overheaded and nearly passed out on us. He came to the sidelines and started crying and said, "mommy I am hot". Thinking he just wanted to sit down I told him to go back out and finish this quarter. He looked at me and said, "I am going to be sick" and his little eyes rolled back into his head as he pitched himself onto my lap. the quarter was over and we cooled G abe off with cool rags. I know he was not dehydrated because they are HUGE about water and hydration. He finished the game but you could tell he was not 100%. (He was probably 95%, he is a driven young man).

The kids have requested that we "start school". I said, how so? and they want books, pencils, workbooks, ect. So I am going to get some paper out and work on writing. I am looking at curriculums. I like the alpha omega one the best right now. I am trying to decide between the preschool and just buying grade K. We will find out tomorrow where they stand with writing leters and numbers. If anyone has any input on curriculums I am more than open to hear about them.

Well that is all that I can think of for the moment....

I am glad that everyone is feeling better. You kids are so awesome. I think they will do very well when you start school with them. :)
